Harry, an update !
Some of the Wayland Players and the Friends of the Players may remember that my partner and I, having de-camped temporarily due to flooding, came across Harry in a village nearby and he was in a very sorry state. He had obviously not been cared for properly so my partner (even though very wary of anything equine ) managed to gain Harry’s trust by caring for him. Eventually the owner passed him over to us and then, thankfully, PACT agreed to home him for his lifetime. My partner in turn is now a volunteer and helps care for the horses, ponies and goats !
The Wayland Players were touched by this tale and decided to give a monetary donation . Similarly, many of our “Friends of the Players” each contributed 50 pence to take part in a game at the Christmas party, the proceeds to go to PACT. This raised a total of £55 to which the players then contributed a further £95, making a total donation to PACT of £150.
Jenny, our past Chairman, is pictured presenting the cheque to George who was delighted to accept on behalf of PACT.

Ps. Harry is well and happy and is pictured to the right with his new friend (Harry is the one with the fair mane in the first picture).
